BIO II is a Biological Cabinet Type II. First the work space is swept by class 100 (ISO 5) laminar flow which protects the product.
The Optigel horizontal laminar flow cabinet provides a clean air working area of Class 100 (ISO 5) Air is constantly blown horizontally through an absolute HEPA filter into the working area, thus protecting the product inside the cabinet from existing particles in the air.
IV-Gel vertical laminar flow cabinet provides a clean air working area of Class 100 (ISO 5). The cabinet functions by pulling air evenly through a pre-filter and then blowing it through a HEPA filter into the work area. The air flows vertically across the work surface, thus preventing air turbulence that could cause cross contamination.
