Barloworld Scientific aquired by Nova Capital

In November 2007 Barloworld Scientific, home of some of the world's most famous brand names in laboratory equipment and consumables, was acquired by Nova Capital.

Our new owners are now pleased to announce some very important changes to our business.

From 1 April 2008 our business has new organisations and four new company names.

We will be trading as four new companies, each with a new identity and with responsibility for a distinct product portfolio.

These new companies are:

Bibby Scientific Limited - science equipment
Carbolite Limited - furnaces and ovens
SciLabware Limited - glassware & reusable plastic labware
Sterilin Limited - single use plastic labware

The new structure will allow us to provide more focus and strategic direction for each of our businesses.

Each of the new companies will have their own dedicated Sales, Marketing and Technical teams to provide fast and flexible responses to customer requirements.

Each of the four new companies will also be putting extra resources into new product development and the expansion of their product ranges.

Some things will remain constant; our famous brand names and their unrivalled reputation for offering the very best in quality, performance and value.
