This shield is manufactured from true 3/8" thick  clear acrylic for protection from beta emitting radioactive  isotopes. Shield with attached beta storage compartment  box comes with a 36 place removable rack for 1.5ml  microcentrifuge tubes. The lid for the storage compartment  can be used as a work area when placed on its non-skid  feet directly behind the shield. Optional shelves  available for use with .5 ml and 2.5ml tubes. Additional  sizes available upon request.
